About Jeff Jacobs


After receiving his law degree from Stanford Law School, Jeff began his legal career in the Silicon Valley office of the global law firm Pillsbury Winthrop where he represented a wide variety of clients in tax, estate planning, litigation, corporate/transactional, and intellectual property matters.

In 2009 Jeff left Pillsbury to build his solo legal practice and the asset management firm Jacobs Equity.

Jeff received his law degree from Stanford Law School.  Prior to becoming a lawyer Jeff was an engineer, earning a Masters Degree in mechanical engineering on full fellowship from Stanford University and a Bachelors of Science in mechanical and aerospace engineering from Utah State University, where he was named the Outstanding Senior for the College of Engineering.

After living in Palo Alto (Silicon Valley) for 11 years, Jeff recently moved to Salt Lake City with his wife and three children. Jeff maintains an active practice in both California and Utah.

Jeff is a member of the California and Utah bars.
